Management of post-operative surgical wounds, including removal of sutures or staples, pressure sores, vascular ulcers and acute and chronic skin lesions, following disinfection and sterilisation standards.
- Blood sampling and vital signs monitoring
Venous blood sampling and measurement of vital signs: blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation and blood glucose testing for diabetes management.
- Medical devices and catheter management
Care and maintenance of medical devices, replacement and management of urinary catheters, and health education for patients and family caregivers on home management.
- Support to specialist medicine
Technical assistance to specialist physicians during joint injections, oxygen-ozone therapy and minor outpatient surgical procedures, ensuring sterility of the field and instruments.
Experience and education
- Nursing
- Degree in Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, qualifying for the nursing profession
- Registered with the Nursing Register of the OPI Professional Order of Perugia since 2015 (no. 4622)
- Specialist training in advanced wound care, community management of chronic patients and BLSD first aid
- Ongoing professional education (CME) on clinical risk, healthcare facility hygiene and the safety of invasive treatments
